Department of Philosophy Prof. Bamadeb Bhattacharjee established the department of Philosophy on the 7th June 1938. Since then the department is imparting value based education to its students. Since Philosophy is the very foundation of human life, we try to create awareness among the young students in particular and society in general, about the importance of the subject. The highly qualified staff members of the department are ready to take on the challenge of infusing greater interest among our young students to awaken the importance and relevance of the subject in the present day context. Our vision to see PG courses and research facilities in the years to come, along with better library facilities in the college. As Philosophy is the mother discipline of all subjects we shall always coordinate and cooperate with all other disciplines. Faculty Profile
