Industry Certified Courses


In addition to the regular academic courses that go on in the college, there are also other popular Industry Certified courses conducted by the department of Computer Science, at a very marginal rate. These include:


CISCO CERTIFIED NETWORK ASSOCIATE (CCNA)

The College, with the support of the IT Department (Govt. of Meghalaya), offers a one year CCNA program. The second batch is now on and the course is in high demand by all.


  • The program has four modules which require 280 hours of instructions
  • Successful candidates are awarded the internationally recognized CCNA certification.
  • All exams and course contents are available on-line.


    • ORACLE CERTIFIED ASSOCIATE (OCA)

    The demand for database administrators and professionals is growing and in answer to this, the college has entered into an agreement with Oracle Ltd., to conduct the Workforce Development Program (WDP), in the campus. The training is given by company-certified trainers in-house at a very minimal rate. The course includes:


  • Introduction to SQL: Using Oracle 9i.
  • Database Fundamentals I.


    • RED HAT LINUX CERTIFICATION

    The Department of Computer Science is in touch with Red Hat Linux Ltd, to begin the training of professionals in the Open Source market. The training of the faculty is due in the month of November, 2008.
