Computer Science
The department of Computer Science offers a full time B.Sc course with honours in Computer Science. The department is the only one under the affiliating University to conduct the Master of Computer Applications(MCA) course with approval from AICTE. In addition to this, the department runs part time courses – Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications(PGDCA), Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA), apart from many other short term courses. The department also collaborates with the departments of Mass Communication, Commerce, Business Administration, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Statistics and Music to conduct computer related papers for the students from these departments.

2014
- The Department of Computer Science in collaboration with Department of Khasi organised a National Seminar on “Towards Standardising Khasi for Computational Purposes” on 28th and 29th October, 2014.
2015
- Organised a “Talk on Current Trends in Computer Science and Applications” on 9th March 2015.
- Organised Lecture on Data Science on 24th April 2015.
- Inter-College Debate Competition organized by the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Meghalaya in-collaboration with Department of Computer Science, St. Anthony’s College Shillong on 6th July 2015.
2016
- Organised an invited talk By Dr.Basav Roychoudhury, IIM Shillong on the topic “Business intelligence” on 18th April 2016.
2017
- 29th March 2017: Invited Talk on “Information Security” by Dr.Frank B.Brokken, University of Groningen, Netherlands
- On 29th March 2017: Organised a tutorial on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking, by Arjun Chetry, NEPA organised by Department of Computer Science, St. Anthony’s College held in the Conference hall for MCA, PGDCA and 5 th Semester BSc. Computer Science
- On 17th June 2017 : Organised a talk on “Goods and Services Tax (GST) – Implications and Impact” which was delivered by Dr.Prakash Borgohain, IRS, Office of the Central Excise and Service Tax, Shillong.
