CPSI Regional (North East) Workshop Commemorating the first Indian Psychology Day On the occasion of Gyasa Purnima (Guru Purnima)

The Department of Psychology, St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, in collaboration with the Clinical Psychology Society of India (CPSI), RoUTES and CRCSRE, and supported by DREAM, Government of Meghalaya, organized a two-day regional workshop on “Addiction Interventions Across the Spectrum: Screening, Treatment and Recovery-Oriented Care” on 27–28 July 2026. The workshop brought together experts, mental health professionals, faculty and students to explore evidence-based approaches to addiction, including stigma reduction, family intervention, rehabilitation, technology addiction, motivation enhancement, craving management and relapse prevention. The programme highlighted the importance of compassionate, recovery-oriented and community-based approaches to addiction intervention in the North-East.
