The Department of Computer Science offers a full time B.Sc course with honours in Computer Science. The department is the only one under the affiliating University to conduct the Master of Computer Applications(MCA) course with approval from AICTE. In addition to this, the department runs part time courses - Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications(PGDCA), Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA), apart from many other short term courses. The department also collaborates with the departments of Mass Communication, Commerce, Business Administration, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Statistics and Music to conduct computer related papers for the students from these departments.

Computer Science attended a Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP) organised by Orion Edutech in partnership with Sashi Trading Co. in the College. TITP is a work training programme providing employment opportunities for foreign nationals in Japan administered by the Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO). The purpose of this programme is to transfer Skills to Technical Intern Trainees who will form a basis of economic development in their respective countries and play an important role in Japan’s International cooperation and contribution.

- 26th November 2018: A Live demonstration was organised by the Department of Computer Science for 6th, 4th and 2nd Semester BSc. Computer Science for an innovative project undertaken as Minor Project on “IOT-based Water-Tank Management System” by Mr. Kitborlang L. Kynshi of 5th Semester MCA. This programme was also attended by Rev. Br. Dr. Albert L. Longley Dkhar, Principal, Mr. J. Shylla, DIC Coordinator, Mr. A. Warjri, Head, Dept. of Business Administration, Dr. A. Das, Director of MCA and Head of Dept. of Computer Science along with staff of the Department of Computer Science.
